All materials relate to English film industry and John Le Vien's career as vice-president of Pathe News, director of production for Hearst Metrotone News (1956-1959), and movie producer-director. Films whose production is documented by the records include "Black Fox" (Academy Award, 1963); "The Finest Hours," about Sir Winston Churchill; and "A King's Story," about the Duke of Windsor. Restriction applies only to aides memoires.

Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was born at Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, on 30 November 1874. He was educated at Harrow and the Royal Military College at Sandhurst before joining the Army in 1895 and serving in India and Sudan. After leaving the Army in 1899, he worked as a war correspondent for the Morning Post and the following year was elected Conservative Member of Parliament for Oldham.
